News: Changes to the Family Law Courts websites

As you may be aware the family law courts website – www.familylawcourts.gov.au , is in the process of being decommissioned.

Claire Naidu & Co understand that there is currently a major project being undertaken to upgrade the Family Court (www.familycourt.gov.au) and Federal Circuit Court (www.federalcircuitcourt.gov.au) websites.  The court has advised that it expects that the new websites will be launched in the coming months.

You may be wondering why the family law courts website is being shut down and work taken on the Family Court and the Federal Circuit Court websites?  Claire Naidu & Co asked the same questions!

We were advised that the decision to shut down the Family Law Courts website was made for several reasons:

•    To better reflect the individual roles and processes of each court

•    To make finding information easier for clients – based on what court they are in

•    To automate key processes such as court lists

•    Less duplication of information.

It is anticipated that the new court websites will be dynamic, more contemporary and based on client and stakeholder feedback. They will also be available in a responsive design for mobile and tablet users.
