On 22 May 2014, the ACT Government announced changes to AMC visitation schedule

The new arrangements allows the ACT Corrective Services to facilitate visits for up to 18 detainees each session instead of the current 16, but there is a reduction in the number of days available for visits.  Originally there were 6 days per week for visits, and this has now been reduced to 5 days per week (Wednesday to Sunday each week).  The time frames for some current sessions will be extended.

The changes come into effect on 1 July 2014.

Detainees will still be permitted to have visits from legal and professional representatives 7 days a week.
